Arrival in Johannesburg town/ Capetown, and connect a flight to Maun. Arrival in Botswana, are picked up by our Representative and take a scheduled flight to Nxai Pan Park.
Adjoining the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park on its northern border, the Nxai Pans were once salt lakes. Today, the Nxai Pan National Park preserves this precious area, which is rich in biodiversity and is now characterised by grasslands dotted with trees and small pans that fill in the rainy season. The striking, famous Baines Baobabs, first drawn by the renowned explorer in the 1860s are a must-see, and there are several activities to look forward to. Take a 4WD sunset or sunrise game drive, or a birdwatching tour. The Nxai Pan is a breeding ground for wildebeest, gemsbok, zebra, and eland, and an impressive list of other animals can be seen quite easily too including lions, ostriches, giraffes, cheetahs, jackals, bat-eared fox, and even the elusive nocturnal porcupine.

Overnight: Private mobile camp/ Kwando Nxai Pan tented camp for overnight. (semi luxury) AI all inclusive with drinks.

The Nxai Pan National Park is basically a salt pan. After a good rainfall water flows into the pan and on the grass country. The fossil pans of Nxai Pan offer spectacular, seasonal game-viewing in the rainy season (November – March). Huge herds of Zebra, Wildebeest, Springbok and Gemsbok attract many predators – Lion, Cheetah and both brown and spotted Hyena. There are large numbers of Bat Eared Fox, which preys on rodents and reptiles. This is one of the few areas in Botswana that is more interesting during the rainy season – when huge herds hit the Nxai’s grassy pans. The numbers can be staggering; wildebeest, zebra and gemsbok appear in their thousands, along with large herds of other Antelope and Giraffe.

Overnight: Provate mobile camp/ Kwando Nxai Pan tented camp for overnight. (semi luxury) AI all inclusive with drinks.

After breakfast, you will transfer to Maun Airport for your charter flight to Muremi. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to mobile Camp, where you will spend the next three nights. The afternoon is yours to spend at leisure, either relaxing next to the pool at the lodge, or to partake on an afternoon game drive in the concession.

Lately, Moremi has gained a worldwide reputation as being one of the best game areas in all of Botswana offering some utterly spectacular wildlife viewing opportunities. Surrounding the Khwai River, wildlife and birdlife are in abundance. This area is a regular host to a wide variety of animals which include: elephants, buffalo, lions, leopards, servals, cheetahs and the wild dog. The wild dog has been the subject of a conservation project being run in the area since 1989. The waters of the river are also frequented by hippos – often seen during the day and heard at night. Dinner and overnight at mobile Camp or similar, on fully-inclusive basis (activities, meals, soft drinks, local drinks and house wines)

Today we have the opportunity for game drives and bush walks on our private concession.  A cultural tour can also be arranged with the community from Mababe. Mogotlho celebrates and supports local culture and history and is proud to be in partnership with the community.

Spend the day exploring wildlife on the channels. A combination of lagoons and channels of papyrus, the Khwai River is surrounded by little islands that feed off the borders of the river. It is fed by Angola’s summer rains, which take approximately four months to flow down into Botswana. This is due to the fact that the Botswana terrain is very flat and dry. The water reaches the Botswana area in the middle of the dry season. Dinner and overnight at mobile mobile camping, on fully-inclusive basis (activities, meals, soft drinks, local drinks)

INCLUDED: Full Board Plus – Dinner, Bed, Breakfast, Lunch and Activities All Drinks (excl Premium Brands) Included

Breakfast and spend the day on game viewing or take a mokoro boat ride along the river.

You spot amazing things close-up: an insect, animal tracks, big game droppings, swarming termite mounds. These small, unexpected aspects of life often make the biggest impression. Night drives “into the middle of nowhere” are an amazing experience—a rare opportunity to be surrounded by the infinite darkness of the African bush. Don’t say a word, but simply gaze up at the stars and listen to the sounds. Nocturnal animals are out on the prowl—scuffling, howling and, if you are lucky, emitting the occasional deep-throated roar. Dinner and overnight at mobile camp,  on fully-inclusive basis (activities, meals, soft drinks, local drinks)

INCLUDED: Full Board Plus – Dinner, Bed, Breakfast, Lunch and Activities All Drinks (excl Premium Brands) Included

The Khwai area of the Okavango lies along the northern boundary of the Moremi Game Reserve. Don’t miss the opportunity to soak up beautiful views of the scenic landscape and spot an array of wildlife.
