Breakfast and leave for Aberdare Forests in time for lunch. Here we learn about the extent and dangers of deforestation in the company of members of the host community.

This forest covers a vast section of the Aberdare Ranges and which have been destroyed through haphazard harvesting of trees for timber and wood fuel. Guests will walk around to enjoy the rich and diverse fauna and flora, before joining members of this community in a tree planting campaign.

Breakfast and head south to Narok in time for lunch. After, we go to market place, where the colorful Massai bring their cattle and other livestock to be sold. It is also a social event and the Africans are resplendent in their best native dress. The Morani, or Massai warriors wear short maroon tunics with a sheathed semi tucked under their belots. In one hand they hold a long-bladed spear and in the other a sturdy runga, or throwing stick. The market hillside swirls in red and black presenting a dramatic picture of Africa that you will carry with you for a long time. Later proceed to Masai Mara.
