Arrive at Samburu lodge for lunch and later depart to field for Wildlife Behavior studies. Overnight at Samburu Lodge.

Day spent in the field conducting wildlife behavioral ecology and savanna ecology studies. Overnight at Samburu Lodge.

Some Savanna Ecology in the park. Afternoon visit to a nearby trading centre for Cultural Geography and cultural History. Overnight at Samburu Lodge.

Group to arrive in early afternoon. Afternoon study on wildlife specie identification and censuring, including wildlife tracking techniques. Various Savanna species characteristics. Evening collection of data on species population numbers exercise.

Overnight at Thomson Falls Lodge or Mountain Rock lodge or similar.

Wildlife species observation. Comparison between Savanna specie and Forest specie. Observations to be made in fixed positions overnight, main target is nocturnal mammals. Overnight at Mountain Rock lodge or similar.

Drive to the moorland (10,000’ to 12,000’) to observe forest and mountain specie living on this altitude. Overnight at Mountain Rock lodge or similar.

Arrive in the park in time for lunch. Afternoon drive for observation of the avian ecology (Flamingoes and other birds).

Overnight at Nuru guest house or Chester hotel or similar.

Meeting with research staff at the centre. Afternoon meeting with faculty to review data collected so far.

Overnight at Lake Naivasha Panorama Lodge.

Group to be accompanied by warden to talk on wildlife management issue facing the park. Tour of the geothermal plant and study on its effects on environment. Some view about the conflict between the Maasai, the park and Geothermal plant. Afternoon walk in the park for some plant identification technique.

Overnight at Lake Naivasha Panorama Lodge.

Afternoon lecture on Maasai Wildlife Cultural traditions from renowned Maasai Scholars. Wildlife observation sessions in the evening. Overnight at Mara Springs camp or similar camp.
Day 12: Maasai Mara National Park.

Morning field wildlife ecology and biology data observations. Afternoon meet with a local Maasai family. Dinner and overnight at a Masai Manyatta/ Mara Springs/ Enchoro camp.

Morning meeting with the Warden for lecture on wildlife management techniques. Afternoon more talk on human-wildlife ecology and effects of grazing in the reserve to wildlife numbers. Overnight at Mara Springs camp or similar.

Arrive Nairobi and stay at Fairview Hotel. Afternoon can be spent walking Nairobi with a Kenyan Guide or students conservationists from a local college. Overnight at Kipepeo hotel or Flora guest house.

Leave by flight to Malindi or Mombasa, then connect a transfer to Malindi. Settle in at Scorpio Villas or a Malindi Keys Hotel. Afternoon spent on the beach relaxing.

Talks with a guide on cultural aspects of the ruins. Afternoon walk on the ruins and the town of Malindi. A visit to some traditional Swahili homestead. Overnight at a Malindi Keys Hotel or Scorpio Villas.

Full day of cultural activities with the Swahili people. Possible participation of some cultural activities at the coast. Overnight at a Malindi Keys Hotel or Scorpio Villas.

Drive to this Coastal city in time for a local coastal lunch dish. A visit to a Hindu temple or walks at Old town. Afternoon leave for the the North coast beach Hotel or Temple point beach hotel. Relaxation in the afternoon.

Talk with the director about this fort built by Portuguese in 1590. History lecture. Afternoon, back to hotel. Free for Scuba Diving, Windsurfing, Snorkeling, and Dhows etc. Overnight at North coast beach hotel or Temple Point beach hotel

Day at leisure exploring the beaches . Overnight at North coast Hotel or Temple point beach hotel.

Breakfast and transfer by road to Nairobi with lunch enroute at Tsavo Inn. Arrive Nairobi evening in time for stay at the Kipepeo hotel or Flora guest house for the night and dinner.

Free day to shop in Nairobi escorted by Kenyan guide or faculty and conservation students from a Nairobi college. Afternoon guests can start summarizing data compilation or a summary presentation by the chief guide. Dinner at an Indian or Chinese Restaurant. Overnight at Kipepeo Hotel or Flora guest house.

After breakfast, meeting with guides to review data collected and prepare a formal paper. Once exercise is over, day free to mix with Kenyan conservationists, or a visit to the University of Nairobi Zoology Department. Talk with the Chairman of Department. Overnight at Kipepeo Hotel or Flora guest house.

Breakfast and morning transfer to the airport in time for your home bound flight..
